It’s a set of a LED lamp with inbuilt accumulator battery and solar controller, a photovoltaic panel, and an aluminium pole adaptor for the panel.
LED lamp
Powder coated self-cleaning housing made from cast aluminium that ensures a high level of ingress protection from dust and moisture IP66.
LED lighting sources, the solar controller, and the accumulator battery are the general components on which the quality and functionality of the lamp depend.
LED light sources
- Efficiency
Luminous efficiency is a main energetic characteristic. The higher its value is, the more energy saving is the luminaire. The solar lamp SSL30P50 is distinguished with very high efficiency – 190 lm/W.
- LED sources
They determine the quality and the parameters of the product. The lamp uses LUMILEDS diodes – a sure warranty for quality and long life.
- Light distribution
Only the high efficiency of the lamp is not enough. The correct light distribution also matters. Polycarbonate optics create type II-S (140° x 85°) light distribution that finds a wide use in different projects – lighting of alleys, parking lots, parks, and streets. Polycarbonate is resistant to the atmospheric elements, UV-resistant, does not age nor goes yellow.
- Operational time
The high efficiency of the diodes and the large capacity of the battery (230Wh/18Ah/12.8V) ensure long operational time – 5-7 rainy days with fully charged battery.
Solar controller/LED driver
The solar controller manages the charging of the battery during the day and maintains stable luminous flux through the night hours. It is characterized with the following functions:
- Intelligent lighting algorithm
This function allows to set time intervals with different brightness. This helps save energy, as the built-in rechargeable battery could last longer with a single charge. The solar controller is already programmed by the producer.
- MPPT
MPPT stands for “Maximum power point tracking” and is essentially an optimized and effective charging method. The MPPT technology measure the energy generated from the solar panels in real time and tracks the highest point on the power curve U-I. This allows the system to recharge the battery with best possible efficiency. In comparison with the normal PWM controllers, MPPT can improve the energy efficiency with 15-20%.
Accumulator battery
It is a rechargeable battery type LiFePO4 with the following characteristics:
- Safety
LiFePO4 batteries are safer in comparison with the Li-Ion ones that may self-ignite.
- Durability
The life of the LiFePO4 batteries can last up to 2000 recharge cycles, whereas the Li-Ion batteries last up to 800.
Photovoltaic panel
The lamp is equipped with monocrystalline photovoltaic panel.
Pole adapter and a panel holder
Made from powder coated aluminium cast. Fits poles with Ø50-62 mm diameter. Allows lamp and panel rotation in wide angle range.
